Barriers of Industry 4.0, industrialized economy, unindustrialized economyAbstract
The deployment of "Industry 4.0" technologies is trendy and the manufacturing sector is currently facing challenges in both industrialized and developing economies which are examined in the study. After systematically assessing the work and consulting with an industry expert, barriers are identified and examined using a "Grey Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory" (DEMATEL) method. The absence of digital strategy is the biggest obstacle in developed and emerging economies. The influencing hurdles were found to indicate that government norms and regulations might be improved to make Industry 4.0 technologies more accessible to emerging nations. For these technologies to be adopted in industrialized nations a technological infrastructure is required. The deployment of “Industry 4.0” in both industrialized and developing economies should be first examined. This article emphasizes how the lack of unified national policies on "Industry 4.0" in poor nations makes it harder for technical innovation to spread which may inhibit businesses from fully embracing the "Industry 4.0" revolution. To successfully deploy Industry 4.0 across the industrial sector decision makers and practitioners may find it useful to address the hurdles identified by the study's findings.
